I started the month out by going on vacation. Nothing major. My younger brother flew out from Chicago to visit, and we drove to Huntington Beach, CA. We met up with our Mom and youngest sister, who was participating in a softball tournament there. We all spent the week watching softball games, and being tourists there. Went to the beach a few times, did some surfing, went to L.A for a day, and spent the last few days in San Diego. It was a good week! We said good bye to our Mom and sister in San Diego, and hit the road for Phoenix. On the way back, we stopped at Salvation Mountain, in Niland, CA. It's a ways off the beaten path, but cool to see. Over the next week that he was visiting, we wandered around the valley, going to Scottsdale, and ASU. (It was his first time visiting the area since he was 5!) We took three days to drive up to see Sedona, Flagstaff, the Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas. Overall, it was a nice two weeks! I was sad to see him go home.
I started my new job two days after he left. I had one day of training before taking clients, so it was pretty daunting. I was SO nervous but my appointments ran just fine. I couldn't be happier about that! I've had plenty of rebooks, and a few sales, which I know I need to work on. I'm just starting my third week in this job. I still have plenty more training to do, which I'm looking forward to. My plans to start school for my laser certification were put on hold until I get settled in this position, and I finish training. I want to keep learning, but there's only so much time in a day, (and only so much my brain can take in!)
So, onto another week of work and clients!
